Booked for Good

Turn a Love of Reading Into Lasting Change.

What if your love of reading could help open doors to education for a child in Ethiopia?

Booked for Good is a virtual, week-long readathon bringing readers and supporters together to raise funds for Real Humanitarian’s Gateway to Education initiative. Through tuition support for low-income families, this initiative helps make education more accessible and gives children greater opportunities to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.

Whether you’re an avid reader, an audiobook enthusiast, a student, or someone who simply enjoys a good story, there’s a place for you in Booked for Good. And even if reading isn’t your thing, you can still be part of the story by supporting a reader!

Participate as a Reader

Choose your own reading adventure! Set a personal reading goal, spend a week enjoying the books and stories you love, and invite friends, family, and colleagues to sponsor your efforts. Read individually or create a Book Club with family or friends, classmates or coworkers!

Novels, graphic novels, magazines, poetry, audiobooks, and even schoolwork all count. Every reader can participate in their own way while helping raise funds for educational opportunities in Ethiopia.

Registration for Booked for Good opens January 27, 2027!

Participate as a Donor

You don’t have to turn a single page to make a difference! Support an individual reader or a Book Club by making a donation through their fundraising page. Your contribution will help Real Humanitarian’s Gateway to Education initiative subsidize tuition costs for low-income families in Ethiopia.

Can’t donate right now? You can still help by sharing a participant’s fundraising page with friends, family, and your community. Every contribution and every share helps spread the word and bring us closer to our goal.

Every Page Makes a Difference

Booked for Good is about more than reading. It’s about bringing people together around a shared belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and thrive. By combining the simple joy of reading with the power of generosity, we can help open doors to education and create possibilities for brighter futures.

Read what you love. Give what you can. Help turn pages into possibilities.
